Fisetin experimentation one year (reposted as topic for info purposes)

Hello everyone I wanted to make my first post here as I have been doing a fisetin routine for a year now just about and I have results that are not placebo and very profound. I honestly do not know if this is the senylotic effect or some kind of interaction with fisetin in other ways.

To get it out of the way, I will give the fast and short version. I am taking Swanson’s Fisetin. I take around 2g a day for 3 days( now 2.5g). I repeat this for 3 or 4 times with varying intervals (I was trying to find optimal intervals).

My my first regimen was 3 days treatment with a 2 week delay, then a 3 week delay, then a 4 week delay, then a 2 month delay. I am now convinced a 3 week delay is the minimal amount of time you want taking this the way I am, though I will continue with 4 week delay for safety sake and because of my own observations.

So results. Well I feel like this must play on hormone levels in the short term. Immediately after starting a 3 day regimen, usually on day 2 or 3 I feel strong as hell. In particular my legs are tight and super strong. My muscles in general are firmer and overall strength is amazing. My mind is clear, thinking concise anddynamic. I feel more dominant, self confident, and aggressive. Libido is enhanced as well. This all led me to believe that this acts as a testosterone mimic or elevates testosterone in the blood which is why I cycle monthly and then take a few months off every so often.

i can tell you that at the age of 43 this makes me legitimately remember what early 20s feels like. The effects of one 3 day regimen last strongly for 2 weeks and even on for 4 weeks. In particular during week one and two I was amazed at the amount of pure emotion and clarity of the world around me. I could hear and appreciate sounds and colors seemed more vibrant. Mentally I am on overdrive with super memory and crystal clear logical thinking. I remember the first time I took this I was shocked. I was in a cafe just looking at a coke I had bought in a glass amazed at how more real and present it looked. A small thing but it was profound just how the world seemed more alive. It literally felt like going back in time 20 years.

So for long term effects. A stronger posture, better muscle tone, improved gum health, vastly more energy, in fact this has become all the norm after around 8 months of this. Many of the effects I described in the first two weeks following a 3 day regimen do taper off to an extent, but never completely.

As far as side effects there has not been anything thus far. When you are taking the 3 day dose you might get amped up a little jittery but that gives way quickly after the last dosage and it normalizes into a even effect that is positive in nature. I was very concerned about hair loss as I could not believe how impactful this was. But I have noticed no hair loss at all. I cycle it with a 3 or 4 week break to ensure that there is no negative effect on hair or otherwise. With a two week interval I had some scalp itchiness. That was enough to back me off to to four week intervals.

I honestly think that most of what I experienced is not the senylotic effect. It’s way too fast and profound. But I have no ill effects and feel incredible. And overall I have a youthful vigor and look and feel younger. I think a senylotic evaluation, as far as a laymen just observing himself goes ,can only really be done after 2 years or so. However the initial results ( especially gum health) and from what else I can observe are overwhelmingly positive.

I can tell you that this does have an affect and it is profound and noticeable. How much of this is hormone I do not know. But I have other improved health as well, however it’s always tricky to quantify this objectively yourself sometimes.

Good luck on your experiments. Let me know if this has the same effect for you. I just bought Swanson’s with nouvestein. Nothing fancy. Cheap and on amazon.

Yes I saw this, I commented in another thread about it. This might be true. Ever since taking fisetin the first time I am much more in the zone so to speak . I’d almost call it aggressive, but really it’s more confident. Definitely made women a lot more interesting. I cal also put on muscle fairly fast.

id swear there is something to this. And the effect lasts months after dosing. So I was just thinking I was imagining it a bit. But honestly it’s fairly profound.

Last weekend I did a 3 day senolytic treatment and combined it with physical exercise.

My protocol started with piperlongumine extract with black pepper and then after 30 minutes I had 30 mg fisetin per kg bodyweight. (I mixed the fisetin the same way as they did in the mayo study) After 3 hours I had triple dose of senolytic activator and then Curcumin.

The first day my exercise was 10 hours after the fisetin. I was running quite slowly for 30 minutes. I got a little bit of sore muscles from this (which I otherwise never get from slow running).

The third day I used almost the same protocol as the first day but I mixed the fisetin differently. I took the fisetin capsules in my mouth and chewed them with olive oil+ avocado oil until it became a soft dough. Then I swallowed the fisetin.  On the third day I increased the exercise intensity to maximum. Running 10+10+10 minutes at max speed. Then 90 seconds maximum speed running up a steep hill. And then a couple of maximum short sprints (15 seconds) After my sprints I got cramps in my quadriceps for the first time in my life. And a got incredible sore quadriceps. The soreness lasted till today (for Three days).

I have previously had an experience of fatigue when doing this kind of protocol. Then I have been weak for a few days after the protocol.

But I have also experienced what previously have been expressed in this thread, That my legs have had more strength and I have had a light and energetic mental state, almost feeling a bit euphoric.  but that have been 3-4 days after the treatment. I feel it coming today. Three days after the treatment.

I have gotten that kind of uplifting experince when taking fisetin alone as well as in some combinations. It also increased libido. And I have gotten a similar positive and almost euphoric feeling (but not increased libido) when I start my day with Green tea extract and quercetin followed by curcumin 1-2 hours later. My guess is that some substance or some metabolites cross the blood brain barrier and creates a great feeling of wellbeing.

Staffan Olsson so this is exactly what I experience when exercising with fisetin or generally feel. Immediately following dosing I get sore easily. Not terribly so, but it’s noticeable. Muscles build and become more firm faster. And after a few days or so the muscle fatigue and inclination to get sore goes away.

Then it’s just easier to workout and I have a more firm and strong muscle capacity. For me the effects have become almost permanent as I do it monthly. I also notice a more relaxed feeling in soft tissues as if there was an anti inflammatory effect.

Its nice to have some collaboration on some of this.

Fred Cloud nope I have not. I suppose someone should. I am not certain that’s what happening but it would explain a lot.

  • It reminds me of fasting and exercising to induce autophagy. Do you think exercise is increasing the susceptibility of senescent cells in muscles to die?

Fred Cloud It's so hard to know. I can tell you this the muscle fatigue and soreness feels good in a way, kind of like after you have a nice workout and the day after you can feel the effects.

The first time I dosed with Fisetin I felt a weird fatigue. It was not unpleasant at all. I remember because I wanted to take a walk the morning after, was excited to do so. And I walked out a bit and my legs were tired and felt a little sore so I was like Jesus man let me get home.

The following day, the fatigue was a little there but I noticed a lot of strength in my legs. I had a weird computer desk which was a pain to get out of, and I just glided out of it effortlessly, and I was like wow this is new. Also my legs were very firm, buttocks too. From doing virtually nothing. When I sat down I felt like I was firmly sitting there with very firm buttons and legs.

It felt like the legs were actually rebuilding and becoming firmer. And a lot of this was throughout my whole body. Chest, arms everything, much much more firm. Just in a few days. I would push on my stomach and chest muscles kinda making sure I was not imagining all of it.

All in all this is my account of things. It's not statistics, but I can tell you I was skeptical when trying Fisetin, I really did not expect any kind of effect. I figured if it cleared senescent cells that this would hardly be noticeable by me, and likely play out over the long term. So I was not in the mindset to get a "placebo" effect. I had no expectations.

It's definitely something that should get more study time. I really like Fisetin because it's cheap, has a senoyltic effect, and seems to beneficial for overall health. But who knows, the most I can say is give it a try for yourself. The science behind it will catch up sooner or later and maybe we can better understand what it is and is not doing.

  • I had endoscopic back surgery a little over a year ago.   They used a tiny dremmel thru a tube to router out some of the bone that was pressing on a nerve, all due to an aging disc that isn't as fat and plump as it was years ago.  In fact I'm about 1.5 inches shorter than I was in my early 20's.   The surgery eliminated the sharp pain but my back now is aching all the time, so my use of fisetin  is in hope of rejuvenating  my aching back.   Hope springs eternal.   I've just added BPC 157 so I'll keep you informed.

      Fisetin is in fruits.
However, it is most commonly found in these superfoods:

      • Strawberries.
      • Mangoes.
      • Cucumber with skin.
      • Apples.
      • Persimmons.
      • Kiwi.
      • Peaches.
      • Grapes.

    • Andrew Whitfield It should be safe. Just watch out for upset stomach. From what I know these stuff from edible plants, that is as bad as it gets, needing to go to the toilet more than usual. Furthermore, once your body gets used to it, even this harmless problem goes away.

    • Andrew P K Yap Thanks for your advice! I am willing to try it were cautiously, like take 100mg on the first day, see if any bad effects. If none, try 400 the next day, again, and then if all is fine take 1.5-2g for 3-5 days. I will report here on the result, it could benefit others also.

I have not read anything about it being toxic and instead read about how safe it is.

Like I said previously, the first thing you notice if you overdose, is upset stomach.

Your plan which you mentioned previously seems very prudent.

Andrew Whitfield potentially not safe due to interaction with the meds you already taking. Please see the following article. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4703353/

Andrew Whitfield if you can tolerate it, I take 3g for 3 days and that works for me. Best results are on empty stomach and don’t eat for 4 hours after.

I would be careful, if it were me I would try. But to be 100% safe don't do it. I think it might improve some of the underlying health issues possibly. However none of us are doctors.

So I have done two experiments.

Tried doctor's best 100mg in the evening. Felt pretty much good, a boost in energy and was hard to get asleep. The next day was very energetic and felt well. No side fx on my medication.

Yesterday I have tried some unknown origin fisetin from ebay, which is 2:1, 450mg rhus extract. I am no expert, but the pill is 225mg. Not sure about the fisetin content in it. Felt something similar, and a minimal upset stomach.

Will be moving towards proposed megadose. As you can ser for now all is fine.

Andrew Whitfield Awesome let us know if it works. It's a weird thing. What I was expecting and looking for is a senolytic effect that I expected would unfold over a year or more and be hard to really quantify but I get immediate effects from it.

So I never really can understand why that is. I have gone from thinking it stimulates testosterone production somehow or that maybe in addition to getting rid of senescent cells it suppresses SASP secretions and allows for an immediate stop to low grade age related inflammation.

Look for muscle strength, firmness, and also check your face for more definition and a relaxing and reduction of puffiness in the face. Also mood, mental clarity, audio clarity, and increased drive and energy.

When I take it I notice the that after three day superdose I am a little wired for a day or so and then it relaxes. The effects last for at least 3 weeks solid and then normalize during week four. Which is why I do it monthly. But I think you could safely do it every 3 weeks (I have recenlty).

I'll be honest I was worried about too much testosterone and hair loss...since I could not explain the effects (no doctor here) other than to say it must have stimulated testosterone production. If this is the case, how it does if for such a long period of time after dosing I dont know. Fisetin has a short half life, something like 4 or 5 hours if I remember.

I've taken 2 courses so far of 100 mg Dasatinib, 1000 mg Quercetin and 1500 mg Fisetin. Each course lasted 3 days. I felt nothing (other than the usual headache and runny nose). I think possibly that the more senescent cells you have the more of a rejuvenation effect you will feel when they are eliminated. No science to back that up, just my gut feeling.

  • Anyone have any info on a peptide called FOXO4-DRI that is supposed to suppress FOXO4 and increase senescent cell apoptosis?   Is it available?
