DHEA and Sperm
Hi all,
I am posting on behalf of my husband who has been part of a clinical trial in order to boost his fertility. Other than low dose naltrexone, he has been put on a daily dose of 50 mg of DHEA for 6 months.
When we did a repeat test it was worse than before which I find worrying. My question is, can DHEA cause long term damage in sperm production/ testicals or is it reversible? I would be grateful for your insights as I am panicking a bit.
On a good note, he did feel great on it, but it doesn't look like it helped us with the initial issue.

I would suspect something else at play not DHEA. In any event, there would be no long term, permanent damage as a result of taking it, especially at that dose. Research therapies involving HCG and FSH supplementation to restore fertility. Also, if boosting testosterone if deficient. Not sure if it is allowed here to post specific other websites but you could also search: "Semen analysis results after adding FSH to TRT and hCG" for some insight.
