Longevity Stories

One way of getting an idea across is to tell a story about it.  This Topic is intended to provide a place for such stories.

Here is a story about how we came to be and how we inherited aging from our single-cell ancestors.

Thanks for opening a space for this — stories do stick better than tables of data. One thing I would add as a reader: when someone shares a personal longevity story here, a short "what I actually changed and when" timeline at the end makes it far more useful than the narrative alone. I have found that with my own habits, the plausible-sounding cause and the real cause are often months apart, and only a dated log shows the difference. If you are collecting these, it might be worth asking contributors to separate what they observed from what they inferred, so later readers can weigh them separately. The single-cell ancestry framing in your PDF is a nice hook for that, because it puts individual experience inside a much longer arc. I would happily read more of these if others post them.
