L Carnosine vs. Karnozin Extra?

I have been taking L carnosine but heard a talk at the ACM conference last week where they trashed L carnosine because it degrades so quickly. Does anyone know about this and it's accuracy? I'm not sure if it is a scam or not, since only one company sells this.
