Great video. Thank you for sharing it here. Currently I take 1-2 gr of dried parsley (because of its apigenin content) each day. Since I implemented parsley/apigenin into my regimen. I feel physically healthier and stronger and altogether increased wellbeing. This is of course only a personal observation made of only one person. Observations made during a timeframe of 3-4 months.
Another observation from my self experiment is that I experience a synergy between parsley/apigenin and pomegranate extract containing 600 mg or more Ellagic acid. When I try to find clues to this self observation my thoughts and specualations go in many directions, belowe is only one:
- Apigenin (and also luteolin and the other substances in the video) inhibits CD38 and thi inhibition leads to increased levels of NAD and. Anthocyanidins activate sirt6 and ellagic acid might have a specific influence on sirt6. Maybe my increased wellbeing comes from this hypothetical effect and maybe not?
If there are people here that use apigenin together with pomegranate extract? I'd be happy to hear about their experiences and how they think about the effects these two substances might have on the human body.

Natural polyphenols as sirtuin 6 modulators
“Here we show, that flavonoids can alter SIRT6 activity in a structure dependent manner. Catechin derivatives with galloyl moiety displayed significant inhibition potency against SIRT6 at 10 µM concentration. The most potent SIRT6 activator, cyanidin, belonged to anthocyanidins, and produced a 55-fold increase in SIRT6 activity compared to the 3-10 fold increase for the others.”

Pharmacological activation of SIRT6 triggers lethal autophagy in human cancer cells
“Sirtuin 6 (SIRT6) is a member of the NAD+-dependent class III deacetylase sirtuin family, which plays a key role in cancer by controlling transcription, genome stability, telomere integrity, DNA repair, and autophagy. Here we analyzed the molecular and biological effects of UBCS039, the first synthetic SIRT6 activator. Our data demonstrated that UBCS039 induced a time-dependent activation of autophagy in several human tumor cell lines….” “Finally, sustained activation of SIRT6 resulted in autophagy-related cell death,,,,”

Effects of galloflavin and ellagic acid on sirtuin 6 and its anti-tumorigenic activities
“Sirtuin 6 (SIRT6), a member of sirtuin family (SIRT1-7), regulates distinct cellular functions; genome stability, DNA repair, and inflammation related diseases. Recently, we demonstrated that anthocyanidins in berries induce the catalytic activity of SIRT6. In this study, we explored the effects of Galloflavin and Ellagic acid, the most common polyphenols in berries, on SIRT6. SIRT6 deacetylation was investigated using HPLC and immunoblotting assays. The expression levels of SIRT6, glycolytic proteins and cellular metabolism were studied on human colon adenocarcinoma cells (Caco2). Molecular docking studies were carried out to study possible interactions of the compounds with sirtuins. Ellagic acid increased the deacetylase activity of SIRT6 by up to 50-fold; it showed moderate inhibition of SIRT1-3.” “Galloflavin and Ellagic acid increased SIRT6 activity and decreased the expression of SIRT6 associated proteins involved in cancer development…”
