Fisetin experimentation one year (reposted as topic for info purposes)

Hello everyone I wanted to make my first post here as I have been doing a fisetin routine for a year now just about and I have results that are not placebo and very profound. I honestly do not know if this is the senylotic effect or some kind of interaction with fisetin in other ways.

To get it out of the way, I will give the fast and short version. I am taking Swanson’s Fisetin. I take around 2g a day for 3 days( now 2.5g). I repeat this for 3 or 4 times with varying intervals (I was trying to find optimal intervals).

My my first regimen was 3 days treatment with a 2 week delay, then a 3 week delay, then a 4 week delay, then a 2 month delay. I am now convinced a 3 week delay is the minimal amount of time you want taking this the way I am, though I will continue with 4 week delay for safety sake and because of my own observations.

So results. Well I feel like this must play on hormone levels in the short term. Immediately after starting a 3 day regimen, usually on day 2 or 3 I feel strong as hell. In particular my legs are tight and super strong. My muscles in general are firmer and overall strength is amazing. My mind is clear, thinking concise anddynamic. I feel more dominant, self confident, and aggressive. Libido is enhanced as well. This all led me to believe that this acts as a testosterone mimic or elevates testosterone in the blood which is why I cycle monthly and then take a few months off every so often.

i can tell you that at the age of 43 this makes me legitimately remember what early 20s feels like. The effects of one 3 day regimen last strongly for 2 weeks and even on for 4 weeks. In particular during week one and two I was amazed at the amount of pure emotion and clarity of the world around me. I could hear and appreciate sounds and colors seemed more vibrant. Mentally I am on overdrive with super memory and crystal clear logical thinking. I remember the first time I took this I was shocked. I was in a cafe just looking at a coke I had bought in a glass amazed at how more real and present it looked. A small thing but it was profound just how the world seemed more alive. It literally felt like going back in time 20 years.

So for long term effects. A stronger posture, better muscle tone, improved gum health, vastly more energy, in fact this has become all the norm after around 8 months of this. Many of the effects I described in the first two weeks following a 3 day regimen do taper off to an extent, but never completely.

As far as side effects there has not been anything thus far. When you are taking the 3 day dose you might get amped up a little jittery but that gives way quickly after the last dosage and it normalizes into a even effect that is positive in nature. I was very concerned about hair loss as I could not believe how impactful this was. But I have noticed no hair loss at all. I cycle it with a 3 or 4 week break to ensure that there is no negative effect on hair or otherwise. With a two week interval I had some scalp itchiness. That was enough to back me off to to four week intervals.

I honestly think that most of what I experienced is not the senylotic effect. It’s way too fast and profound. But I have no ill effects and feel incredible. And overall I have a youthful vigor and look and feel younger. I think a senylotic evaluation, as far as a laymen just observing himself goes ,can only really be done after 2 years or so. However the initial results ( especially gum health) and from what else I can observe are overwhelmingly positive.

I can tell you that this does have an affect and it is profound and noticeable. How much of this is hormone I do not know. But I have other improved health as well, however it’s always tricky to quantify this objectively yourself sometimes.

Good luck on your experiments. Let me know if this has the same effect for you. I just bought Swanson’s with nouvestein. Nothing fancy. Cheap and on amazon.

Yes, 20 mg/kg for 2 days is what I have been going by too. But I see no results! No difference in the way I feel. (I am 72.) Do you? (Everyone in this conversation should share their age, please, for the benefit of the science.)

This 20 number was arrived at, as far as I can tell, by someone at the Mayo Clinic while planning a long term study. It was probably based on translating a dose from mouse studies to humans which is not an exact science. Go back and read David C.'s rather amazing results. From what he wrote he is now about 45 so maybe just near the age of having senecent cell problems yet he continues to see benefits from the 3 grams for 3 days dose. Fisetin is non-toxic at even higher doses so safety is not a worry.

  • I use the Mayo dosage of 20 mg/Kg body weight for two consecutive days. I  repeat  every month and do it twice/month every other month.  I saw an immediate 20-25 % increase in my chin ups  and pull ups which was quantifiable and great improvement in my color vision which I cannot quantify. These improvements occurred immediately within a day of completing the first two day dose and have not diminished.

I will be 82 in Oct. and started about a 11/2  years ago.

Many others on this forum have reported similar responses to fistin.

    • Peter H. Howe I have been taking liposomal fisetin since last fall. I took 2400 mg with fat, coconut oil , and a few days later when I had forgotten I had taken it for three straight days my swimming time doing 40 length increase dramatically by two minutes. it continued to improve by  another 30 seconds over the next week. I have been swimming for six months as hard as I could, and thought my time would not improve much so this came as a big shock and then I realize it must be fisetin.
Also, I now do 20 minutes of interval training on the bicycle 20 seconds as fast as I can, then resting for 10. Seconds. My pulse was stuck at about 125 when I restarted after a six month Break to heal a hamstring injury. After two rounds of 2400 mg fisetin for three days followed by three week break. My pulse suddenly went back up to 155–160. I do this 3 to 4 times a week. I noticed after about two weeks my pulse doesn’t go up as high but if I do my 2400 mg of fisetin for three days, always taking it with some fat, my pulse will jump back up to my desired range of 155-160.

now I take it on the regular basis every two weeks with no adverse side effects.

I am 74 years old, super health conscious as I once healed myself from terminal bone marrow cancer and also take rapamycin for three weeks every month with grapefruit juice and fat at doses of 6 mg 7 mg and 9 mg.

I know as soon as my pulse starts to not go as high it’s time to take my liposomal fisetin.

  • @peter_h_how wow, 82 and kicking hard...I'm 76 and headed your way...LOL You've got the right dosage. What all benefits do you feel or notice? I notice some thing about vision, can't put my finger on it. Do you take the fisetin with a full fat yogurt, you should, it's very insoluble. Trader Joes Full fat honey yogurt .

  • I take the dose on empty stomach first thing in am. Do not eat for 3-4 hours after. Am on ~ 16-8 hr.  intermittent feeding schedule-- most of the time. As I indicated my pullups and chinups  increased by 25 %  ( from 20 to 25) the first day after the second dose with baseline determined in in standard exercise routine. This increase continues to this day. The improvement in color vision-- enhanced colors cannot be quantified.  The enhancement occurred the first day after the second dose and was initially noticed due to vivid color enhancement in flowers.

My response may be due to my age, although a number of others in this forum reported similar immediate improvements.

After taking the Mayo protocol for my weight (1.5 grams fisetin for 2 days, every 6 months) I felt no changes. I am 73 and must have some senescent cells. So after reading John C details I scaled his 3g dose down to my weight (he weighs ~50 lb. more than me) it came out to 2 g. So just two weeks ago I took 2 grams per day for 3 days in mid afternoon on an empty stomach. Felt no changes then and have noticed no changes since then. Nothing! I am suspecting some people are feeling a placebo effect as there are others here that have also experienced nothing. I usually took Swansons fisetin but this time I bought 500 mg capsules by Humanx on Amazon to make it easy to take larger amounts (4 caps = 2 grams). I weighed a cap just to make sure it contained 500g and it did.

Dean W. I'm 74; have taken average 50 supplements daily for 40+ years, in addition to dozens of holistic protocols, many IVs, etc., etc. costing tens of thousands over the years,  and yet could not point to one item that had a particular effect -- positive or negative.

But based on the science supporting all above, & being generally in good health, with sharp mind, I would think someday science will be sufficiently advanced to identify and perhaps measure my benefits.

I'm also a big fan of placebo, but with so many having various positive reactions to F + Q, as well as for instance vitamin C, I think at least some are not just due to placebo.

Dean W.  I have not noticed anything either.  The last time I used the Dasatinib + Quercetin protocol.  But, I'll try it a few more times before I give up on it.

Jay Orman All good to know. Sharing our experiments will benefit all. I always thought of the D+Q protocol as being stronger than fisetin. Yet still no changes noted? Hmmm. Wonder what the Mayo trial will show when it finally completes. So far it has been extended but no results given that I've heard.

    • Michael_B IMHO opinion 50 is too much, you need to zero in on what you actually works. I take about 25 that I have researched.

all aimed at longevity. Do you care to share what you take?

Be careful of too much fish oil and Ginkgo, both are blood thinners that can cause excessive bruising....From experience, I quit them both and now use Costco Krill oil, and quit Ginkgo. Bruising went away.

      I'm 76

John Ramos No point in listing supplements I take.  First, most are for general health, not aimed at longevity,  For longevity I mostly use F + Q, and more recently Rapa.  But you already decided that my 50 supplements is too much, without even knowing what they are.

    • Michael_123  I'm in your sphere of an uncountable number of daily nutricals, each on their own having merit.  No one has even a guess re the effects of combining so many different compounds in one blender (I can't swallow pills).

I do Rapa, D+Q+F monthly (on faith and reports),  F+Q is in my daily protocol too AND also feel nothing.  Maybe feel upset stomach for a short while.  LOL

But re efficacy and FEELING some benefit; I feel my medical ozone machine, rectal ozone every morning has efficacy;  energy + reported immune boosting via hormesis.

The biggest efficacy for me is from our mHBOT,  a 1.3 ATA soft sided hyperbaric chamber that I use 1-2hr in the early morning.  Where I do my daily computer work.   mHBOT has alot of science, benefits all findable on youtube.  Hormesis is in play again creating forces for angiogenesis, healing and greater brain/vascular capacity.   I feel I have more capacity to work and think.  mHBOT is not a few 1hr sessions protocol, its >>10 ideally into 20 1hr sessions.  So owning one is the way to go.   FWIW local clinics can be found who offer 1hr sessions from $75 to $125.  You can try 3-6 before you decide to buy.   US mfgers are:  Newtown and Summit to the Sea.  We bought a Summit situp 56" unit.

It would be interesting to put up a poll on efficacy per $$ per noticable benefit.  It is a good question!!   Rapa,  D+Q+F are in the can't feel any different but I do it because some youtube channel / Dr says there's benefit catagory.  ;( ;( :(

Attached is a list about 1 year old.  Generally, if an item is listed, but no quantity in the AM nor PM column means I add/rotate the next approx month when I prepare vits.

Also realize the powders are added to generally cold water, taken 3 - 6 times weekly, so one should include the amount of C, glycine, etc., etc. to daily  totals.

Often there are new / more unusual items, that I may take occasionally.  And neither F+Q, nor Rapa are included, as those are based on different periodicities.

Also, I may take a CBD/THC product via gel caps, as well as GH3 injections.  Also, for 20 years, I've taken daily injections of HgH, between 1/2 - 1.5 i.u. daily.

Also assume that a supplement generally is a high quality, & close to highest dose per capsule available.

If someone were to investigate esp items not familiar, such as artetosil or Equolibrium, they may find items that would be worth adding to their own list.

What brand of GH? UG or pharma?

If you're 74, I started GH when you did (roughly).

What benefit do you feel you derive from the GH at the present day?

Have you considered also incorporating testosterone?

There's a synergy between the two but also the large practical benefit of improving bone density.

Michael The past 10 years, I've been using Norditropin Flex Pen.

Other than blood test for IGF-1, no idea exactly what any supplement, protocol, vit, etc. does.  I go with the science, & this entire field is mostly a guessing game.

Michael Bald since age 21, which was way before HgH, or even vitamins.  Separately, some claim their hair growth is returning after few months on Rapamycin / Sirolimus.  I recently started, but not for that reason.
