Metformin, LEF Supplements, Other = Age 20 Telomeres

I am a 75-year-old female with Teloyears of age 20. Teloyears tested me in October 2016 and March 2018, with the same 20 years cell age result. What accounts for this? I have taken mega-doses of LEF supplements, plus some Jarrow supplements, since 2012. I have taken Metformin 500 twice daily since 2014, and Sero-Vital (amino acids) since September 2017. I have exercised with a personal trainer at the gym 3 hours per week since 2012. I have reversed Type 2 Diabetes - A1C is now 5.2, BELOW non-diabetics. I have reversed high triglycerides and am now low. I received stem cell injections for a bad knee, and a hip replacement. I have had moderate to severe  osteoarthritis in most areas (including fused cervical areas and spinal stenosis, etc.) for many years but there is now zero pain - without any prescriptions for this. I take biological hormone replacement instead of synthetics. I do take a statin and CoQ10. I take two blood pressure lowering prescriptions and now average 105/70. My weight has gone down 50 pounds since 2012 and I should be normal later this year.

  • Hi, thanks for this. I am interested in which specific supplements you take. The brand name doesn't help much  in this regard. Can you please let us know what supplements you take?

    Thanks

  • The brand name may matter because the milligrams are different in many, drpending on brand. The following list is long. Yes, I take them every day. Some of the names require three of four capsules daily, so the total number of capsules taken is large. The annual bill is large also. The reward is great. My blood test results returned today were perfect. Actually better than perfect, since I am a Type 2 diabetic with an A1c of 5.2, better than the average non-diabetic.

Ocean Blue Omega 3 2100 with Olcenic, Jarrow Bone-Up (calcium), Jarrow Curcumin Phytosome, LEF Endothelial Defense with Pomegranate Complete and Cordiart, Jarrow Quercetin, Melatonin 10 mg, Jarrow Ubiquinol QH absorb, LEF Optimized NAD+ with Resveratrol, Pycnogenol French Maritime Pine Bark Extract 100 mg, LEF Once Daily Health Booster, LEF Shade Factor, LEF Two Per Day, Jarrow Venous Optimizer, Jarrow Acetyl L Carnitine Arginate + Alpha Lipoic Acid, LEF BioActive Complete B Complex, SeroVital (amino acids that may help the body produced Human Growth Hormone) LEF Memory Protect, Quality of Life Kinoko Platinum AHCC, Asperin 81 mg safety coated, LEF Bio-Collagen with Patented UC-11 40 mg, LEF Longevity A.I., LEF Hair, Skin & Nails Rejuvenation Formula with Verisol, LEF Vitamins D and K with Sea Iodine, LEF Ageless Cell, LEF Fast-Acting Joint Formula, Jarrow Methyl B-12 5000 mcg, LEF Optimized Folate L Methylfolate 1000 mcg, LEF Tear Support with MaquiBright Maqui Berry Extract 60 mg, LEF Glycemic Guard, T.A. • Listened to an attia podcast the other day where he's  -presumably- more pro berberine than metformin. Anything new here?

    Thank you!
