Doubling the NAD+ Dose May Be Unwise: I Was a Trial Subject.

Re increasing the dose for NAD+, I was a subject asked to take a double dose of nicotinamide riboside in the initial study behind the Basis product.

After a short time I had to drop out of the study due to disabling headaches.

I now use the LEF product in a single dose as I once used Basis successfully and get my resveratrol from a different product I take for brain and memory rejuvenation at the same time. My functioning has improved through use of these products.

Thought this information might be helpful as you plan your rollout of deeper research and product development.

Yea I od on this stuff when I tried it. Definitely noticed head issues like extreme cognitive activity almost like my mind was going at 20000 rpm or something. Also some slight headaches

  • I've been taking LEF's product for several weeks.  Two 250mg caps in the AM, two in the afternoon, 1000mg total.  No noticeable adverse or positive effects.  This seems to be a pattern for me with most supplements.  I start with recommended dosages and go up to 8x that in some and no effect.  Maybe I'm subject to a reverse placebo effect, if there is such a thing.  One exception was use of EcoThyro 125 an antiaging doc recommended because my thyroid was in the low range of blood test.  Well after three months it went off the charts.  Got off and returned to normal.

Most of the time I don’t get effects with supplements. But NR definitely increased brain activity and made me feel a bit different. Honestly NR should not make you feel significantly different as it’s supposed to aid in mitochondrial repair and function. So it does not mean that it is not working.
