Doctors are threatened with losing their licenses and having their careers ended overnight if they dare go down the path of anything BUT drugs and surgery.

There is more politics and business involved in our healthcare system than actual healthcare.

I don’t understand why people are so blind to the fact that doctors and our healthcare system is more profit orientated than actually healing people.

Here’s the problem, most people don’t seem to want to take control of their own health (or really anything else for that matter). It’s easier to put that responsibility on your doctor. We just figure that our doctor is in charge of OUR health and tend to just accept what they tell us.

Also, when you say “unapproved” unapproved by whom? Who gets to approve anything? The FDA? Do we know the process of “approving” a drug? A medical device? Medical procedure?

If you don’t know and most people who listen to their doctors and think that just because something is “unapproved” means it’s not safe or won’t experiment with it because it’s “unapproved” clearly doesn’t understand anything about the “approval” process. It is not what you think it is.

One thing to always remember is all these drugs for example that are “approved” have horrible, very dangerous side effects and collectively kill hundreds of thousands of people a year.

Vitamin C supplements on the other hand for example are not “approved” - do you think Vitamin C is detrimental to your health because it’s not “approved”?

A big reason why supplements for example don’t have to be “approved” is because they are GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) meaning there is no ill side effects and no one is going to die from it so the time and money to “approve” and carry oversight on these products would be a waste.

    • Gage Gage is spot-on.  If you need surgery or prescription meds, ask your doctor.  For good diet, an exercise plan, good supplements, or anything else for actually increasing healthspan & lifespan, it's far better to think for yourself and take your doctor's advice with a huge grain of salt (especially regarding statins).
