Correlation between Hearing Loss and EpiGenetic Age
This is an interesting paper:

"Discussion: The present study suggests that some epigenetic age acceleration measurements are associated with hearing. Future research is needed to study the potential subclinical cardiovascular causes of hearing and to investigate the longitudinal relationship between DNA methylation and hearing."
Personally I think that high frequency hearing loss is a relatively easy thing to test as a proxy for general cellular health.

Very interesting, although not sure I agree with the authors making the connection between cardiovascular function and sensory hearing? Hearing I always thought was more directly connected to CNS/brain function, and blood DNA age clocks do NOT have CNS cpG methylation data I don't think?
And here is a new paper on CELLULAR AGING epigenetic clock!

That’s an interesting topic. I will follow the thread and read more about the EpiGenetic Age. It’s something new for me and might become a significant part of my age-related studies. It’s always fun to find a thing I had no clue about before, even though I am already a second-year medical student.
I want to eventually become an ENT doctor like www.beckerentandallergy.com, and more knowledge about hearing loss is good for me. Sometimes I think my college doesn’t provide me with enough relevant data on various topics and holds onto outdated research too much.
