FAQ
Question: does MedLab Pharmacy have any recognized certifications for compounding, such as the Joint Commission, the harmacy Compounding Accreditation Board, or HFAP? Also: what is the anticipated cost of 9 x 80 mg (or if the cost would be lower, a similar but more usual dose)?
Dr Zimmer: We only do low volume non-sterile compounding permitted by the Florida Board of Pharmacy. Joint Commission and PCAB are more for sterile labs doing much bigger volumes. Joint Commission would be more for those servicing hospitals, nursing homes, ALF's, etc. PCAB is more for outsourcing facilities with lots of FDA regulations.
Costs: No idea of costs yet until we have a headcount, please PM me if you wish to join.

Hello everyone,
Regarding the post about Medlab pharmacy above, unfortunately, pharmacist Dr. Alan Zimmer died in December of diabetic complications.
It is unclear whether his office will continue providing pharmacy services.
Please post here if you have any updates about Dr. Zimmer or the Medlab pharmacy.
