Cure for Cancer?

Could you comment on this announcement about a cure for cancer by Sloan Kettering Cancer Center? They used immunotherapy and all participants' cancer went into remission and was undetectable. Even though it was small (18 participants) it had a 100% success rate. Sloan Kettering is a very prestigious cancer center and I am hoping beyond hope that this is the start of the final cure...

18 participants with a 100% success rate is certainly not too small a trial to take seriously.  Let's hope "beyond hope" that this immunotherapy is likewise applicable to cancers other than rectal!

I believe they are expanding the trial to measure effectiveness against prostate, stomach and pancreatic cancer.  If it can cure 5-10% of all cancer up to stage 3 with a 100% success rate, that would be a godsend.

Looks like the initial study used the drug dostarlimab

"Although dostarlimab is showing promise in patients with MMRd rectal cancer, only 5 to 10% of people with rectal cancer have the mutation dostarlimab targets."
