Daily dosage of Sirolimus?

Is there a reason why all the suggested dosages that I have read indicate taking a dosage of between 3 and 10 mg per week involve taking it all at one time rather then just taking on a daily or every other day basis of say 1mg?  Thank you

The half-life of rapamycin for humans is 62 hours. From Dr. Green's website rapamycintherapy.com, "TOR1 is very sensitive to a single dose of rapamycin and TOR2 is very resistant." With a weekly dose of rapamycin, you get a lower trough concentration and suppress mTORC1 without suppressing mTORC2 as much.

Yes - a very good reason. Daily dosing of rapamycin can result in bad side effects you don't want like immune system suppression. Before you start using rapamycin you should learn a lot more... see here: https://www.rapamycin.news/t/rapamycin-frequently-asked-questions-faq/59
